Craig Toberman Featured in Illinois Business Journal to Discuss His Work with Heartlinks Grief Center
Heartlinks Grief Center, a nonprofit in Belleville, Illinois, provides grief counseling and support for all ages. They offer free services including professional counseling, support groups, and school programs, both on-site and in the community. This past June, Heartlinks received $2 million in state appropriations to build a new facility, expand services, and make the center ADA-compliant.
Craig Toberman is in his eighth year serving on the Advisory Committee for Heartlinks Grief Center. He leads the monthly support group for teenagers who have lost a loved one and serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for Family Hospice, the parent organization of Heartlinks Grief Center. Craig played an instrumental role in working with the committee to put together and present an action plan to state legislators which ultimately secured the $2 million in appropriations for this year’s formal Illinois State Budget.
In the recent Illinois Business Journal article “Linking through the heart: Moving from grief to growth“, Craig Toberman provides insights into valuable work Heartlinks Grief Center is doing for the community and its individuals coping with the loss of loved ones.
“Now, with a recently secured $2 million in state appropriations in the latest budget to build a new facility, this is an exciting story for our community and for the expansion of services for those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one.”
